Our room had a balcony, television with English (BBC & CNN) and looked out over the front (which may be why we never heard the trains) of the hotel. The front desk employees were at all times pleasant and they helped us with dinner reservations and other questions. The ladies who do the breakfast were very nice and always cheery (breakfast was continental, pretty much anything you'd want except a toaster). Another plus was a computer terminal in the lobby (8 euro for a 1 hour card) that allowed us to check email and research destinations, buy tickets and check our train to Belgium. Another plus was Bistro L'Affiche right across the street that was cute/charming (old French movie posters adorn the walls), had great host/waiters (who helped us decipher the menu) and excellent food/desserts..
