I stayed at this hotel for a weekend break for my 21st birthday. It was beautiful. The location was excellent, I walked to all main sights from here. If you don't want to walk, there is a metro station very close by which has links to everywhere in Paris.
With regards to people saying that there in no nightlife nearby, all you have to do is go down Rue Blanche down the side of the church behind this hotel. That road leads you to the Moulin Rouge and the Montmatre's nightlife. It's only a 10/15 minute walk.
I stayed for 4 nights and I found the service excellent.
Breakfast was excellent, thanks to this hotel, I now love Croissants. The room was spotless, the bathroom was brilliant. The bed was very comfortable. The only bad thing was occasionally you could hear the Metro running underneath the hotel but thats something I got used to.
The staff here are very helpful, they gave me a European converter which i forgot and told me where the Hard Rock Cafe in Paris was. This hotel is a great find in the Opera district.
