Millennium Hotel Paris Opera - Paris, France     

Nice hotel, great location, local car parks expensive as no pariking at hotel. Booked through Lastminute and went for the 'Club' room but were given one of the smallest rooms they had. It was a nice place and the small room was good but it wasn't 'Club' as it's inconceivable the other (non Club) rooms could have been smaller. Friendly staff. At check out the staff couldn't work out if we'd paid online (we had) and eventually some that they 'trusted us'. Similar problems all the time with online bookings via Lastminute i.e. the hotel staff don't know if a booking is prepaid and often will try to charge you again. Otherwise nice hotel but we should have gone back to Lastminute immediately whilst we were actually there.

Beware of this hotel "the Millenium". It looks nice from the outside an the lobby is ok too, but the rooms are definitely not 4star (look at the pictures). Check-In was slow as there was only one Monsieur behind the counter and 10 people trying to check in. My room was on the 4th floor (414) with a window that wouldnt close properly, the A/C would only blow cold air regardless what temperature you set it on. There where handles missing on the closet. the bathromm intererieur and tiles were stained and broken. Took 5 minutes to set water temperature and pressure to either not boiling or freezing. Funny that they provide robes though and the towels were very soft and clean especially compared to the appearance of the rooms (and I took a look at 3 different ones). The carpet was very filthy too. On the positive side the hotel has a nice lobby and is located in a convenient area for sightseeing and shopping.
