5The hotel is located in the japanese area of Paris - surrounded by many local Japanese restaurants for a quick meal! Only 5 minutes walk to the Louvre, or in the opposite direction to Opera, the hotel is very conveniently located. Also convenient are the proximity to the shopping! 10 minutes to Gallerie Lafeyette and Printemps in one direction, and 10 minutes to Saint Hanore for luxury boutiques!
The room we had is very small (404), you would not be able to fit a large suitcase at all (we had 2 small suitcases which were okay). I believe the hotel has recently undergone some renovations and looks lovely! However, I think the bathroom was quite small, and could do with some modern renovations. But it is very clean and well looked after, and in a quiet area of Paris!
The two girls at reception spoke very good english, definitely no language barrier there at all, and help as much as they can. In the lobby, there are two sitting areas where you can read or have a drink, to make up for the small sized rooms.
When we booked our accommodation, there was a special 128? per night including breakfast, which was a good deal for the sort of boutique hotel it calls itself (saving you some money for more shopping!). Breakfast however is very French - pastries, bread, a selection of cereals and yoghurt, ham and camembert and juice/tea/coffee.
Our only vice, apart from the small size of the rooms, would be the lift - it takes a long time, and has a very bad smell!!!
