Arc de Triomphe (1.3 km) - this arch was commissioned in 1806 after Emperor Napoleon I's victory at Austerlitz. The arch is so large a daredevil once flew his plane through it.
Louvre Museum (2.6 km) - this enormous art gallery and museum, home to Leonardo Da Vinci's 'Mona Lisa', amongst other famous works, attracts millions of visitors a year.

By road:
- Take the ring road and exit at Porte Dauphine.
- Take Avenue Foch, and then turn right into Place Charles-de-Gaulle Etoile. - At the roundabout, take the 6th exit Avenue de Friedland, and continue until you come to Boulevard Haussmann.
From Roissy-Charles-De-Gaulle Airport (30 km):
From the airport, take the RER B (regional train) and get off at Châtelet. Then switch and take the RER A towards “Poissy” and alight at Auber. Journey time: approximately 1 hour 15 minutes (including changes).
From Orly Airport (26 km):
From the airport, take the Orlybus (RATP bus) towards Denfert-Rochereau, and get off at Denfert-Rochereau. Then take the RATP metro line 6 towards Charles-de-Gaulle Etoile and alight at Montparnasse Bienvenüe. Change and take the RATP metro line 13 towards St Denis/Gabriel Péri and alight at Miromesnil. Journey time: approximately 50 minutes (including changes).
