My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in February. The hotel is in a great area right in the heart of Montmartre, close to restaurants, brasseries and lots of shopping. The Blanche metro station in Pigalle is closest but my husband and I usually walked to Abbesses because it had more lines running through it. (Hint: avoid all the stairs at Abbesses by taking the elevator - much easier!) The hotel rooms are clean but tiny. There was barely enough room for the bed and our suitcases. But if you are just looking for somewhere to rest your head after a day of sightseeing, it will do just fine. Most of the hotel rooms only have shower stalls, no tubs. Our room also had a small vanity and a wardrobe for hanging 1-2 clothing items. I was a little concerned with the security of our hotel room. When we got there, the clerk gave us a key to our room, and we went upstairs - only to find that the room was already occupied, with suitcases in it! We went back downstairs and the clerk was very nonchalant about the mistake. Also, when you leave the hotel you are required to drop off your key at the front desk, which explains how we were able to get someone else's room key. And when we came back at night, all we had to do was tell the clerk our room number to get the key - no one ever verified that we were the rightful occupants of that room, not even desk clerks who had never seen us before. A breakfast buffet is available in the mornings for 8 euro per person, which is a much better deal than you'll find in the cafes down the street. It includes unlimited coffee, tea, milk, various breads and butters, cheeses, jams, etc. If you want to watch TV the hotel requires a 10-euro deposit for the remote control. We decided to forgo this option since we only used the hotel for sleeping anyway. Overall, it's a comfortable enough hotel, but I'll probably look for accommodations elsewhere on my next trip to Paris.

Stayed here for 3 nights - Feb. 2008. The hotel is located in Monmartre - peaceful area of Paris. The nearest Metro station is Blanche (or Abbesses - if you like a lot of steps up to ground level!) There is a bit of a upward hill walk to get to the hotel from Blanche. Hotel was clean and tidy. Small bathroom in the room. Breakfast was simple enough - no hot food selection though - cakes/croissants/cereals/cheeses/compotes. Check in was quick and efficient. You leave the key at the desk when you head out. TV in the room with BBC World channel. Good location for Sacre Coeur. Quiet enough. Overall, a comfortable (as the name suggests) stay. Nothing out of this world. Good for a budget traveller.
