Hotel de la Motte Picquet - Paris, France     

Our family stayed at this lovely little hotel for 2 nights at the very end of December 2007. Tres magnifique! Our son & daughter-in-law got the "romantic room" facing the street, our 2 daughters had a sweet room overlooking Rue Cler, and my husband & I had a room at the back that was wonderfully quiet. The staff was incredibly friendly, greeting us as though we were long lost family members and Sandra especially was attentive to our every need. The breakfast alone was worth everything but the location was absolutely perfect for all we wanted to see in Paris. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a great location, good value and warm hospitality. We can't wait to return!

We had booked another hotel for our stay in Paris, and upon arrival found out it was a total dump. We set out on foot to find an internet cafe in hopes of finding a new hotel and stumbled upon Hotel Motte Picquet. We were greeted by Sandra, smiling and full of cheer. Her English was excellent. The hotel was adorable, clean, and very inviting. She was kind enough to let us see a room before making a reservation. The rooms were lovely with every amenity we needed for our stay. We booked a room immediately. It is in a great location off the corner of two streets that are filled with locals. Dine in their restaurants, shop in their stores. You are also one block from a Metro station, and a ten minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. During our stay Sandra, Moe, and the entire staff made sure we had everything we needed. I would absolutely stay here again should I make it back to Paris.
