Not a bad price but a lttle shabby Posted: Tue, Jan 22 2008

Spent three nights in a four bed apartment with my wife and two adult daughters whilst there for the rugby world cup. The room was shabby and tired looking and when I attempted to close the sliding door seperating the two sleeping areas it came off the runners and would not close. It stayed that way.
The rates of just under £100 per night for four people in a fairly centrally located hotel is quite reasonable but at the end of the day you get what you pay for.
One word of warning about the breakfast. When booking in, the receptionist told us that is was a hot buffet that would "set us up for the day". There was no language confusion here as my eldest speaks good french. The reality was that the "hot buffet breakfast" was coffee, croissants fruit juice and stale looking ham.
At over £6 per person per day I thought that this was excessive and asked for a refund which was eventually given. For a little more money there are a number of cafes nearby serving decent food.
Overall not bad value for Paris but beware of the hot buffet breakfast!
