Paris. The city of lights, a lover's paradise, capital of style and fashion, an active, modern and trendy metropolis that holds up a mirror to France… Paris is all this. And so much more!
Try to define Paris in a few words. It can't be done! How could we list its countless characteristics without appearing to be arrogant? How can we stay humble without doing it an injustice?
It's hard to list all of the city's unique monuments (the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Panthéon and others), its charming quarters (Montmartre, the Marais, Saint-Germain-des-Prés), its traditional brasseries and restaurants serving cuisine from all over the world, its famous museums (the Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, Centre Georges Pompidou, the Institut du Monde Arabe) and the lesser-known museums of advertising, fashion or fairground arts, its many different moods… These few lines would be insufficient – and we'd still only just scratch the surface. Every exploration of Paris creates a secret alchemy where a crowd of intangible parameters come into play – not least the visitor's personality. Paris is a parade of impressions, fleeting yet definitive. A sunset over the Pont des Arts seen from the Carré du Louvre. A white wine in a bistro in the 18th arrondissement. The smooth sound of a saxophone gilding the night in a Latin Quarter jazz club. Find out for yourself: Paris never stops moving, never stops growing with the contact of those who visit. Paris is waiting for you – waiting to become your Paris.

Spent three nights in a four bed apartment with my wife and two adult daughters whilst there for the rugby world cup. The room was shabby and tired looking and when I attempted to close the sliding door seperating the two sleeping areas it came off the runners and would not close. It stayed that way. The rates of just under £100 per night for four people in a fairly centrally located hotel is quite reasonable but at the end of the day you get what you pay for. One word of warning about the breakfast. When booking in, the receptionist told us that is was a hot buffet that would "set us up for the day". There was no language confusion here as my eldest speaks good french. The reality was that the "hot buffet breakfast" was coffee, croissants fruit juice and stale looking ham. At over £6 per person per day I thought that this was excessive and asked for a refund which was eventually given. For a little more money there are a number of cafes nearby serving decent food. Overall not bad value for Paris but beware of the hot buffet breakfast!

I have planned to stay in this hotel because the organizers of the exhibition reserved it tome as a 3 star hotel. Actually I have left after trying of the several rooms. The problem was that it was late at night and it was quite difficult to find room in the other hotel in the place. Actually the problem is that the property is in quite bad state at least cosmetically. I have met with the holes in the curtains broken furniture and etc. First rooms were not cleaned up well. Actually the bed was clean but the floor and the surfaces not. Finally I have proposed quite clean room without holes in curtains and quite clean floor. But when I evidently opened the refrigerator it was quite clean inside but smells as an old fish man. And in the bathroom I found something looks like very close to louses so it became impossible for me to stay in the room and I decided to leave the hotel. By the way I evidently by mistake firstly com to the nearby hotel of Pierre et Vacances near by of the same class and it was looks like OK on the first glance. And the staff in the hotel was quite friendly. But the things which were good in the 70-s need some repair since that time.
