Ambassadeur - Paris, France

This was my first time at Hotel Ambassadeur. Given that I have been staying a couple of other hotels in France ( including Paris ), I thought of paying a bit more to stay at Hotel Ambassadeur, esp since it was the last leg of my trip in France. While the room was spacious, it reeks of a strong cigarette smell, which I personally find revolting. The location isn't fantastic, as you really have to walk quite a distance before you can get to the Metro station, and it could a hassle during the peak hours when you struggle to get to the Metro station and into the metro. Overall, I wld say that it's satisfactory, but you can get a better hotel with a lower rate and at a better location. The bathroom is small, and I 'd be happier if it's a lot more bigger. (But hey, I think all budget hotel bathrooms are pretty small! )

The reservation managed by venere has been perfect. The problem has been the hotel: it shouldn't have the category of hotel!! Really awful.

This is a perfectly acceptable hotel, nothing flash, but you only get what you pay for. The location is a bit too far out of the city for walking and the bus or metro is a must to get around Paris. You don't get tea & coffee making facilites in the room, you have to purchase them from vending machines in the foyer. I would choose a hotel closer to the centre and pay the extra should I return to Paris.

Just Okay, Not recommended though

I was ready for small room, optimal service level and simple breakfast. But even for that, the hotel was disappointment!!! Very Very small room, not very clean...carpet appeared very unclean and dusty. Approach to the room from lift was complete dark. Had tough time to locate the light switch....door was not very firm....good part was two old ladies at the reception, who were very helpful, provided good information and very honest too..overall, try to look for some better hotel. Any place in Paris is as good or as ad connected from city attractions anyways....
