What Travellers Like

The hotel is across the street from the Montparnasse cementary, so it is very quiet. We let the water run for 30 minutes, then I went down to the desk to let them know.. Read review

We especially appreciated the very good, firm mattresses (two together for a king, as is standard in many European hotels) and high-quality linens and towels. As others have noted, the Montparnasse's great strength is its location, which combines convenience to public transport (both buses and metro) with the bonus of being in a bustling traditional neighborhood. We especially enjoyed mornings in the nearby Rue Daguerre market, where we had breakfasts (as we like them lighter, later, and, frankly, cheaper than the hotel offered) and had a terrific time people-watching. We found the staff friendly, professional, and responsive, if slightly sleepy when we would return late and need to pick up our key.. Read review
