4If you want to explore Paris, this makes a great base. My Wife and i stayed for a romantic weekend in May.
Down an unassuming street, you enter to find a quite modern minimalist reception and lobby. All very IKEA, but very nice. The Manager was extremeley friendly and helpfull. They do serve drinks and a small amount of food, but there is no bar.
When you go upstairs to the rooms, you'll notice a rather different decor. Its very....pink, so to the rooms. Must be a Parisian thing?
It has to be said though the place is spotless. Our room was rather small, but had a nice bathroom with a good power shower and bath, we had a nice LCD tv in the room, and good air-con. The only downsides about the room were the view over the courtyard and no coffee facilities. But your in Paris, so that doesnt really matter. The breakfast is typically french, but theres loads of it and good coffee.
The hotel is only 10 minutes walk from 3 Metro stations, Malesherbes being the closest, 25 minutes via the met from the Eiffel Tower. 10 minutes walk away is the market area of PL.de Levis, loads of shops, bars and Restaurants.
My wife and i were a bit worried about staying here after reading other reviews, but as the stay was a work incentive, we had no choice. We would stay again...and pay!
Its no Ritz, but then it doesnt claim to be.
