2Wow.. The rooms were soooo small, I can't even describe it. It had 2 single beds pushed together and roughly a foot or 2 on each size before the walls.. The bathroom was tiny also.. It was outdated, the wires stuck out from the night stand where the phone was (not sure what they were for...) The description of the hotel on the website says that it is less than 1 km from the Eiffel Tower. No. You have to walk a few blocks to get to the Metro, get off at the next stop and walk another 5 minutes or so to get to the Eiffel. It was just fine for us, just pointing out the mislead..
Not too much to say about the city itself because I did not enjoy it.. The people were rude (I speak french Fluently). They would speak in french amongst themselves which I could understand, they were not very helpful and those that were, weren't very friendly about it. I was at a store wanting to buy Gucci sunglasses and they stared at me from afar, I guess to see how long it took before I left (maybe it's a game I'm not familiar with).. The food isn't that great for my taste. Everything is VERY expensive..
I did like the old architecture of the city, the churches and the Monuments, Champs Elysees at night was beautiful and so was the Eiffel (not too impressive during the day).
The hotel itself would be acceptable for back packers or friends that are laid back, but not for a romantic trip to Paris by no means. The food in the morning was: fuit cocktail, corn flakes (reg and chocolate), bread, cheese and lunch meat with the occasional yogurt. Wasn't overly impressed for the money spent.. But it is Paris
