Boulevard Magenta is a busy road and Hotel Alane is right on it. The room is small, so too the shower but this is standard for Paris Hotels. The WiFi didn't work, there was signal but no password was offered by the staff because "the WiFi was not working". The breakfast was very average and additional to my room rate. You can do better by just walking 20 meters down the street. In support of Hotel Alane, the reception I received was very warm and professional and it is ideally situated for Gare L'Est and Gare du Nord. The room and the bed clothing were very clean, the room rate from wotif was good . It is good enough for 1 or 2 nights but you wouldn't want to stay here for a week.
