Villa Van Gogh Hotel was renovated at the beginning of 2005. So the rooms are clean and comfortable. It's decorated with taste. Rooms are quite little but it's not disturbing. Moreover there is air conditionning, and it was very helful during the heat wave. The reception and the lounge are very cozy. Atmosphere is peaceful and provencal. The staff is always helful and very friendly. Isaak, Amsterdam

Excellent hotel that must be the most quitely located in the city. I'd go there again!

This hotel was okay, well positioned near the metro. The only complaint was that we did not receive our wake-up call the day we were leaving, and they tried to charge us for a breakfast we never had. The rooms were clean, but of course small. We also didn't realize we were in the porno district, I would stay somewhere else next time.

Although the property was said to have historical significance, it was in much need of some tender loving care and refurbishment. Good location and easy to access.

This hotel is ok for a very short stay but everything (bedroom, bathroom, lift, breakfast area, reception) is very cramped, even by the standards of Parisian hotels. The hotel would be a pleasanter place to stay if the management gave a little more attention to making sure that everything worked (e.g. no plug in hand basin, one bedside light not working). They should also invest in a better coffee machine for the breakfast room -- cheap coffee in a French hotel is a false economy.
