Nice location. Room was well appointed; a bit small, but that is expected in Paris. Helpful and friendy staff. We stayed only one night so did not experience how rooms are serviced everyday. Hotel is 1 minute walk away from subway station. The only thing negative I would say is that for the price, the breakfast should be included.

Nice QUIET SUBURBS Hotel

Stayed Nov. 08, Great Hotel - Bad location. Great for the money. Basically an efficiency that has been renovated very nicely - just like any hotel in NY. If I was visiting friends or relatives in the area this would be my top place to stay. However being a younger couple and our first time in Paris we were looking for a nice place that was relatively cheap and close to (but not on top of) the nightlife and able to get to tourist sites easily by Metro. Took 40 mins and multiple changes by metro to get to Louvre, 25 mins to Eiffel tower. Bastille (nightlife area) took 20 mins to walk, 5 mins by metro. Blocks are really long - probably ok during summer but winter months Burrr and Taxi drivers don't pick up the small 5-10 euro fares, its a waste of their time. Big negatives - The airport 30 mins away by taxi or 1.25 hours and multiple changes if by train (with luggage). =========== Here is what I learned Check out the train and Metro line before booking. Try to stay next to Blue or yellow lines. Easy access to tourist locations, hotel and nightlife. BTW - PARIS WAS FANTASTIC !!!

This is a great little hotel with an excellent, helpful staff. Its not the height of luxury, but is clean and comfortable. They even let me check in early since my flight from the USA arrived at Charles De Gaulle at 7AM. I will stay there again.

Stayed here for 4 days in September 2008, 6 ladies- co-workers. Hotel clean & comfortable beds. Staff very accommodating & friendly & provided great walking maps & metro directions to major sites & restaurants, shopping we planned to do in short time. The Boulangerie directly across street was convenient to grab one or many delicious pastries early in the AM before heading out. McDonald's on the corner was as convenient to get a cafe in hurry. Other conveniences on/near Avenue Daumesnil include a great mini market (? name), great place to get chocolate, variety of sundry items, fresh fruit markets, laundromat (about 2 long blocks away), 2 great restaurants with friendly staff, one across from McD's (good price & delicious food), the other to the right when exiting the hotel is pricey but delicious food. (sorry, I don't recall the names). Neighboorhood is very clean and safe at all times of day & night. From airport (Charles DeGaule) mid day & caught metro to Ave. Daumesnill abt 1 hour then walked about 3 long blocks (with 1 piece of luggage..pack light!) to Hotel Dore, just getting dark, street signs & excellent directions from Hotel Dore staff got us there without a hitch. A great hotel if you want quiet & convenience. Would stay here again!
