Caravelle - Paris, France     

A basic hotel but has what you need. Rooms are small with minimal storage space however good enough for a short city break. I stayed there for 2 nights and this was ok. If all your looking for is a place to sleep then this will do. Breakfast is just a croissant but i gave it a miss. Location good as metro is 5 min away, and it took less than 20 minutes to reach all touristy sites. One reason i booked here was because of the parking facilities. On arrival i found this to be false. All there was, was on street parking, whiahc like everywhere in paris is never available. I had to pay 48 euros and park in a car park.

This hotel was near the Moulin Rouge and close enough to walk to all the major tourist sites in Paris. However, the bed had 4 single beds when we asked for a double since we were on our honeymoon. The room was smelly and looked unclean. The bathroom was straight out of the seventies. The hotel staff was helpful but since the train workers were all on strike, we ended up taking a taxi to Charles De Gaulle Airport which cost us 42 euros!
