3We booked this hotel for 4 nights through an on-line booking agency. We flew into Charles de Gaulle airport and got the handy 'Roissybus' straight from the airport terminal (which leaves every 15 minutes) straight into the heart of the Opera area (no stopping on the way-8.60 euro each way). When we were dropped off- the hotel was about a brisk 10 minutes walk to the hotel.
First impressions of the hotel were very good indeed. The lady member of staff was very welcoming and there was minimal fuss when booking in- good English spoken. She acknowledged that we has pre-paid but needed a credit card number for security (all standard routine these days).
The furnishings of the entrance hall was very nice and clean.
We were on the ground floor. The room was small (as all Paris hotel rooms are)- but not too small and certainly very comfortable and exceedingly clean. Everything was in working order.
There was a mini-bar in the room. When we checked in, we were given a slip and asked to note down what we had had from the mini-bar when we left. However, we noticed that when we arrived in the room- not all items on the list were in the mini-bar.
I suggest future travellers should check this and report what was in the bar on arrival to avoid any confusion about what you have actually consumed. We did not consume any items- but noticed on the third day of our stay an extra bottle of water had been placed in the fridge. We immediately new that the cleaner would have assumed we had drank one (which we hadn't) as she had put one in....The fact was that one was missing when we arrived....as well as a number of other items.
This became apparent on leaving the hotel as the staff questioned whether we had had any drinks....when we said no, they said are you sure? (Clearly the cleaner had noted putting the extra bottle of water in)
However, to be fair, there was minimal fuss. As I say though, the hotel should make 100% sure that the mini-bar has a accurate list of what is in it at the start of the stay to avoid these situations.
The breakfast room was very comfortable- nice comfy chairs nicely spaced apart and the breakfast lady was very attentive and friendly-all food was replenished if you came down towards the end of breakfast.....
The hotel is in an ideal central location for walking around and exploring Paris. Overall, I'd certainly recommend....
