Lorette Opera - Paris, France     

We've stayed at this hotel before so we knew what we were getting but were delighted to, this time, be on the fourth floor, in a slightly bigger room than the third floor room we stayed in in Feb 07. It was the view that made the room. We could just see the top section of the Eiffel Tower, over the rooftops so we could watch the light displays! As we were overlooking the street this time I was absolutely amazed how much noise the windows shut out. You can hear the metro, it's true, but that is a small price to pay for being so conveniantly close to it! My criticisms would be: a) returning at midnight after a day of sightseeing in the freezing cold we found our window open. I assume that was an honest mistake though - not common practice, b) when I asked one the reception staff about Christmas markets she was clearly iritated to asked and printed me off a list of 2005 events! That said when we left the hotel a different receptionist got us a taxi to go to the Gare du Nord in about 5 minutes. (You could equally walk there too - we did on the way there). In short, clean, great location, small rooms but hey, do you really go to Paris to sit in your hotel room?!

...de par sa situation. Situé tout près du métro Saint Georges, vous pouvez rejoindre la place de la Madeleine ou de la Concorde en quelques minutes. Revers de la médaille, le bruit du métro est assez présent dans l'hôtel, particulièrement pour ceux qui comme nous ont reçu une chambre au 1er étage côté rue. Sinon, l'hôtel est agréablement décoré, la chambre et la salle de bain sont petites mais propres et pour une nuit c'est bien suffisant (après tout, on ne vient pas à Paris pour rester à l'hôtel!). La salle de petit déjeuner est très jolie et le buffet assez complet. En résumé, si comme nous vous bénéficiez d'une offre last minute, pdj compris à moins de 90€, je vous conseille cet hôtel pour une ou 2 nuits mais pas plus (manque de rangements).
