I travel to Paris quite a lot with work, so I've become acquainted with the average size of hotel rooms and the very French breakfast on offer! I booked my rooms directly through the hotel's website, which offered significant discounts on the room rate (available pretty much right up until the night before). The hotel is perfectly situated in Paris for both business and pleasure. The shopping of both luxury boutiques and the Champs Elys?es is moments away, fantastic restaurants are only moments away (to treat yourself, or to impress a client) and metro lines 1 and 9 are very close. Finding a taxi also isn't a problem. Whilst it's true that reception is small, it is perfectly suited to its function (after all, who wants to waste space on a reception desk?!) and leaves space for the immaculate lounge area. Yes, the breakfast area is small, but it feels very airy due to the mirrors and white walls. Breakfast has a smaller selection than your average 'run of the mill' business hotel and is centred around a traditional French breakfast (you're in France afterall....), but the quality is much higher than in other hotels I've been in. I had a room on the 5th floor, and from the plan of the hotel plotting the emergency exits, it looks like I had a smaller room, but compared to other Parisian hotels, it was VERY spacious. The only downside was that the room was very warm and the air-conditioning didn't really cool the room down. An open window solved that problem, and also revealed a neat little balcony from which to watch the world go by. The bathroom is fully equiped and makes best use of the space available. A highlight of the hotel is the fact that the staff are helpful and can pull strings for you; in my case, they managed to find me a table in a fantastic restaurant down the road for me on my own, when couples were being turned away.... Overall, a stay in this hotel will make you feel special. It's just a shame they chose to put blankets and sheets on the bed, rather than duvets....
