I booked a room at the Elysees Union Hotel based on reviews I read here and I was not disapponted. The staff is very friendly, informative, professional and accommodating. Check-in and check-out was a breeze and our room was ready even though we got there several hours early. Breakfast was delicious, plentiful and inexpensive. The room was small (as expected), but comfortable and not crowded (with a large closet and a mini-fridge). The bathroom was roomy and well-serviced daily. Everything was very clean. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone. Our room was off the garden, which was lovely and the hotel is near several metro stations and not far from the Arc de Triomphe (on the Champs-Elysees) on one end and the Eiffel Tower and other attractions on the other end. There are several shops, ATMs, cafes and restaurants nearby also. It is not a large chain hotel, which is what makes the experience charming and friendly, in my opinion.
