Our First time in Paris and sixth journey to Europe. Hotel within walking distance of major sites except Eiffel Tower. Close to bus and subway lines. Lobby was beautiful! Room large by U.S. standards and huge by EU standards. Stayed in older part of hotel but room was clean and well maintained. Room on second, non-smoking floor faced inner courtyard so view was not great..Heard no noise during our five night stay. Bed was large and very comfortable. Staff was courteous and friendly. Typical EU breakfast buffet was excellent but expensive and we would not have eaten there had it not been included in the package deal. We would stay there again. Our stay in Paris was enhanced by this wonderful hotel!!!

Stayed there with wife and 10 year old son - my advice, avoid this hotel at all costs. One thing I learned from this trip was that if you want American style service (meaning good service to American standards) you really need to stay at an American managed property. After a couple days we moved to the Park Hyatt, and it was worlds better -- no comparison! We stayed in a suite, which was nicely sized for Paris. Unfortunately, the service was basically non-existant. TWO HOURS for room service. Scores of empty shampoo and soap bottles piled up in the shower (they never threw them away or cleaned it up). The comforter (bed spread) was rolled up like a kid would do it and stuck in the corner of the room on the floor. We asked for extra pillows, and they could only find one! Never did they replace the ice, despite a bottle of champagne sitting in lukewarm water in the bucket. Dust covered everything. Not once did they open the door for us when we came up to the hotel - the doorman was too busy chatting with a bellman. To top it off, the bed was literally hard as a rock. I would avoid this hotel, and stay at an American-type property.
