4I have stayed at a few places in Paris, none as visually appealing on the inside. It's a well appointed boutique hotel. Staff very helpful. My wife and I had a brilliant time in Paris.
I would say that the Metro is handy, but the hotel is on a fairly noisy street. Our room 505 (fifth floor) was great, but noisy, with a view of the Metro.
I think that given the views are not spectacular, it comes down to the location of the hotel. Unfortunately there are other very nice hotels that are in much more desirable areas (either quieter or with more cafes, bars close by).
Yes it is close to the Eiffel Tower but so what? You will go there once a trip, it is much better to stay in the Latin or Malaise areas where there is a bit more going on.
