We had a dreadful time getting to and from this hotel, what with Air France strikes delaying our arrival by two days and our taxi's engine blowing up on the periphique on the way back to CDG. Stress levels were astronomically high. Hotel Harvey was the antidote. I took my two teenage daughters for their first trip to Paris with my sister. Hotel Harvey feels very French and friendly. It is spotlessly clean, unpretentious, and situated on a very quiet street yet it is very close to the Champs Elysees. Lovely cafe, cheese shop and boulangerie on the adjacent square - with a local, untouristy feel. Tery and his team were outstanding. Definitely go there again - for longer this time.

Comfortable, clean, convenient for metro & bus lines, friendly staff. Good breakfast (though not so cheap). Booked train & hotel package with Eurostar - no hassles. Best way from Gare du Nord is by No.43 bus - get off at Eglise St Ferdinand.
