Le Meridien Montparnasse Hotel's location was great. The Air France bus from Charles De Gaulle literally drops you off on the other side of the street from the hotel and the train station (Gare De Montparnasse) is right there also.
The only negative was the fitness room in the hotel where only two of the five machines worked. There was no pool but very few European hotels have the room for this.

This hotel makes a very good base for seeing Paris. It's located across the street fro Gare Montparnasse and a Metro station. The Airport shuttle service stops across the street. The staff was very helpful and the room was quite comfortable.
The La Meridien met or exceeded all of our expectations. The location was very convenient with the Metro being across the street and the bus just within a couple blocks. Everything in Paris is close by compared to California. The hotel staff was very friendly and always willing to help. The room with two double beds was very comfortable and quiet.. The bathroom was not large but had a great bathtub for soaking after a long day on our feet. There are many eating establishments nearby and convenience markets also for minor necessities. We are already planning our return trip.

Had my Hotel booked through Costco. This was by far the worse hotel we used. I have stayed at Le Meriden Hotels in Nice, Cancun before. This hotel was by far the worse. I was given a non-smoking room that smell of smoke. I got it changed. The lobby was busy with people using their Laptops. No a great place to mingle with naitives or even travelers. Had one porter in the front. You get the impression you are staying at a Hotel that has no class.
