Montparnasse Rive Gauche - Paris, France 

"Excellent stay!"

I returned home yesterday after having spent 7 nights at the Jardin de Paris hotel in Montparnasse. Myself and my 2 travel companions found the hotel brilliant. The lift is pretty small, only big enough for 2 people if you have your luggage with you, but the rooms are of ample size, although more wardrobe space or drawers would be an advantage. We weren't staying at The Ritz, so we didn't expect too much from the rooms, but they were very clean, cleaned every day which we thought was excellent. The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful, trying where possible to converse with us in English, as our French isn't too good at the moment! The breakfast was very good, plenty of choice, and we ate downstairs in the cellar, which had been done out beautifully. The hotel is set on a fairly quiet road, just a couple of minutes' walk to the main street, 10 minutes' walk to the Metro, so all the well known sights are in easy access. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the hotel, we would definitely go back and stay again, and we recommend it to anyone.
