Two Star Hotel for a Three Star Price...DirtyPosted: Sat, May 31 2008I am skeptical of online reviews because people have such different opinions, but I hope people will heed my warning when I say - DON'T STAY HERE, UNLESS YOU WANT A TWO STAR HOTEL FOR A THREE STAR PRICE!! Let me start with the location, not great at all. Sure it is close to the metro, but the hotel is located at the end of a dark alley and it is right next to a hotel that is under construction, so don't plan to be in your room during the day. I did not feel safe in the area and that is very rare because I go to Paris a lot and I always feel safe. As for the room, it was dirty!! The walls needed to be cleaned and the carpet needed to be replaced. Fortunately, the bathroom was in decent shape. The mattress on the bed was like a mattress from a pullout couch, you could feel every spring. The walls and windows are so poorly constructed that you can hear every movement outside or down the hall. Also the deadbolt did not work on my door. The pictures that are posted do not look like this hotel. It is in much worse condition.
