First thing I wanted to do was video my attic room and its view of a picturesque cobbled street. Great value and I slept well. Close to metro but was awkward to find my way back on foot at night.
I will probably choose to stay there again next time.
Stayed 3 nights. Instructions to hotel were very poor.
We understand rooms in Paris are small, but this was for pygmies. Once the suitcases wee in the room, there was no room for us. We were unable to unpack - one tiny closet, no drawers or space. One mattress was so soft the floor felt better. One bedspread looked as if it had been around the block a few times. The room had a sloping ceiling -- not for a tall person. We would recommend only ONE person in a room this size. Many light bulbs were missing - we had to ask for them and install ourselves. The shower curtain wasn't long enough and every time we took a shower we had a flood.
Very little information about the area, which was delightful. Staff very poorly informed on Paris geography and events. One young lady, Erica, was most helpful about anything if she was on duty.
The elevator had a terrible odor.
For us, it would have been a better idea to pay more, stay closer to the Louvre, for example, and pay less for transportation around the city. Very few taxi drivers had any idea of where the hotel was located.
I thought I would have to pay for Internet - but had my own computer and did not.
139 Euros is not CHEAP and I don't think the value was there, all things considered. It might help if you put the actual room size (8x8 feet) in your description.
Breakfast was included and the service provided by the waitresses was awful. My wife dropped OJ on the table and when we called her she grunted and left without cleaning. We had to do it ourselves. Front Desk clerks were helpful, but were not staffed appropiately. Only one person and the phones were ringing, people always in line to check in, others with questions... It was crazy for them. Bathroom was not cleaned well.
Great alternative to a hostel for young travelers Posted: Wed, Nov 07 2007

Staying here was a lot less expensive for two people than it would have been to stay at a hostel (at least in a hostel in a non-sketchy neighborhood). The hotel was clean and we could store our luggage in the lobby (in a locked closet) after we checked out but before we left Paris. The people were friendly and the location was excellent (in a cute residential neighborhood with good metro access).
