We stayed here the first part of December. This hotel is right behind the Louvre. It is a great value for the money but keep in mind that the rooms are TINY. Breakfast is traditional continental. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful with directions. If you are sensitive to noise, you might not like the subway rumbling by into the night and starting up again around 4:00 a.m. Also, if you are claustrophobic, the shower will be a nightmare unless you are also considerably overweight, then it won't be a problem because you won't be able to get in. Any negatives to this hotel are so far outweighed by it's location that I would definitely stay there again.
The hotel location is excellent. It is the one reason to consider this hotel. The room I had was just adequate. Granted, it was quiet. But even for Paris, it was small and not particularly well laid out. The shower barely accommodated me and entry to it was via a narrow 15 inch wide door! The staff were adequate and professional.
for the price, this was one of the better hotels i've stayed in in paris, the best thing is they have tea & coffee making facilities in the rooms, as a coffee in paris will set you back about ?4, shame they didn't have a mini fridge, the beds are comfi, easy to use aircon, overall very good hotel in a wonderful city.
