"JDP Al?sia on rue Al?sia is charming"Posted: Mon, Nov 23 2009Value:
36 of us stayed at the JDP Al?sia, a charming 3-star hotel on rue Al?sia about 1/2 way between 2 m?tro stations. Generally, we used m?tro Al?sia because there is a nice selection of restaurants and even a cin?ma. The staff is very helpful and kind, answering questions and giving directions in English if you need it. The beds are comfortable, the pillows very nice, and the rooms are cleaned daily. There are views of the Eiffel Tower on one side of the hotel. We stayed 5 nights and would return again. There is a hospital and a fire station nearby in case of emergency. The petit-d?jeuner has wonderful croissants, and good cold milk. There is a Monoprix grocery store between the hotel and the Al?sia m?tro station that has fresh fruit and bakery items, including Pain Poil?ne so you don't have to stand in line on rue de Cherche Midi!!! We ordered our loaves ahead of time and picked them up the day before we flew home. The cost is approximately $7.50 compared to $35.00 if you order them and ship them home by Federal Express!!! Along rue Al?sia are many charming boutiques and antique stores. It is very near the women's outlet stores.
