I have stayed in this hotel once before a few years ago and was afraid it wouldnt be as good as I remembered, luckily it was just as good! This hotel is located about 5mins drive from Ashbourne town and has plenty of parking. We got checked in quickly, we had requested a high room and got this no problem. The lobby of the hotel is very clean and spacious with plenty of natural light. The best thing about this hotel is definatley the rooms though. My room was just a standard room but it was huge. The only downside was I didnt have a better view from the floor to ceiling windows-all I could see was a roundabout! The bed was a huge king and possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in-true bliss! Bathroom was also great, had a lovely bath and so nice to step out onto the heated marble floor. The hotel also has a spa and a leisure centre which is free to hotel guests. I didnt try the gym or the spa but I did go down to the pool area. The changing area was very spacious and clean. Only complaint I had was it was a bit cold. Pool however was nice and a good size. Jacuzzi wasn t working when I was there but I did enjoy the steam room and sauna. The breakfast the next morning was nice except they had ran out of eggs and bacon when we got there which resulted in a bit of a wait. The only way they provided toast was with 2 toasters which guests had to make themselves, one of which wasnt working properly. This resulted in a queue for toast and the rest of your breakfast going cold while you waited. Despite that however it was a very pleasant stay, I had a great night sleep and will definately be going back!

Stayed here for 2 days and booked the "romance package " which gives an upgrade to an ex. room with champagne and chocolates. The room was a great size with the usual "marriott" bed ,which I think are the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in.We ate in the resturant on the first night and the meal and service were excellent. The second night we wanted to try a chinese resturant (Eatzen) in Ashbourne and when we asked reception to order a taxi they told us there was a courtesy bus. This took us in when we were wanted and brought us back when we were ready (as long as it's before 11pm) The meal was the best chinese we have ever had ,all freshly cooked with fresh ingredients, a bit expensive ,but worth it.Had a manicure and pedicure in the hotel Spa and thought it was good value.Loved everything about the hotel.I don't think anyone should choose it if they're wanting a hotel for visiting Dublin City ,but Ashbourne has good resturants and there is a lot of nice countryside around.
