Our family of seven from Asia were visiting Ireland for the first time. The reception we received on arriving after a long journey was cold and regimented. The two rooms we reserved were smelly and dusty. Breakfast the next morning is not worth much comment. However, the service from restaurant staff was sub-standard and again cold and unfriendly. My family gathered it was perhaps we were the first non-Caucasians they had encountered. As Rosslare is an entry point to Ireland, it would be advisable if management could train staff on being more welcoming to people of varied races. Fortunately, for this trip, Best Western Rosslare was our first and last bad experience during our stay in Ireland - everyone else was absolutely welcoming!
