as i was staying in munich for 10 weeks, i booked the apartment owned by the hotel. they advertised an apartment building 5 minutes away down a quiet street with unlimited internet access, telephone and tv. i also was promised no smoking, and the apt to be on the second floor.
i arrived at the hotel to pick up the key, which by the way is in a red light district. the apartment was a 20 min. cab ride away. the apartment was on the 4th floor and dirty. there are no one bedroom apts in the entire building, they are all studios. there is a bar directly across the street where people with spiked mohawks and leather outfits frequent, and party until 4 am. the phone had a short in it and so did the tv remote. i also had no internet.
i went in several times to speak with the owner maurice aid. he kept telling me it was my computer. i went back to the apt. and knocked on doors. turns out, there was no internet on our floor for at least 6 months. i told this to m. aid and then we had internet access for four and a half days. his staff at the hotel and he kept telling me it was my job to call the computer technician, who by the way never returns phone calls. then now they want to charge me for the outgoing phone calls they asked me to make.
m. aid is from france, only accepts cash payments for the rent, and i question whether he pays his german taxes.
never, never, never rent either the apt or hotel. it is a terrible experience, and he intentionally falsely advertised what he was renting in order to get more money and find tenants.

I booked this hotel online because all the other hotels and hostels within my budget were booked that weekend. Firstly, the hotel is in the worst neighbourhood of Munich. There is a Cabaret in the ground floor which gets loud at night.I kept hearing some techno bass all night. My room was an approx 8 feet x 8 feet cell which was FILTHY and I paid 60+ Euros a night for this dump. None of the lights, including the bathroom, worked except for the "reading lamp" by the bed. I had to go thru the back of the Vietnamese restaurant and walk all the way up to get to my room. I don't think that the sheets were changed, because there was hair on them. The "pillow" gave me a bad neck ache. The morning after, the cleaning lady just opened my door and came in to "service" my room while I was sleeping. There is no signage I could hang on my door to let the staff know whether I needed room service or not. The seat on the toilet was broken. The sink was so small that a rat couldn't drown in it. The luggage store room is actually a small space next to the reception by the front door. I feared for the safety of my luggage that I left there for a few hours. The "breakfast": I have had better breakfast in cheaper hostels.
Stay in this "hotel" only if you are ABSOLUTELY desperate. Sleeping at the train station would be better.
I wonder if the German government do health inspections for hotels. I am sure if an inspector saw my room that there will be some issue.
