Parkhotel Prinz Carl - Worms, Germany     

This is a pleasant, comfortable hotel, perhaps slightly orientated towards business travellers - since I stayed there at a very quiet time of year it was hard to tell. The hotel is large and very modern, but traditional in appearance. It occupies one side of a large planned open space with matching residential(?) buildings and a function centre opposite. The railway runs close by, but the area is very quiet. The neighbourhood is residential and pleasant, and is not too far from the town centre - maybe a 20 minute walk. It's easy to reach by car and has its own parking. Facilities in the rooms are good - perfect bathroom, TV etc. The restaurant is of quite high quality and although the hotel was eerily quiet when I stayed there the restaurant came to life in the evening. Staff were polite. I didn't see many hotels as I walked about Worms and I was glad I chose this one.

Excellent Hotel Overall! I traveled there on business, and it was everything I expected! Located in Worms, one of the oldest cities in Germany (so I'm told), this hotel was within walking distance near all of the historic sites as well as within reasonable driving distance to large corporatons. The reception/front desk area was very nice and the bar was even nicer. After meetings it was nice to be able to enjoy a good World Cup game on the large plasma TV while enjoying Germany's finest. I had a one bedroom suite which was very large (vaulted celings). It was also very clean and had very modern styling to it. Not quite what's you'd expect from this area, but much to nice to complain about. The breakfast area was very large and the served a wide variety of foods....nothing like the corn flakes and bagels you get here in the US. This hotel, by far, was the best of the three "upscale" hotels I stayed in during my visit to Germany.
