I was part of a tour group of eighty visiting the Western Front for the special Dawn Service in France. The tour commenced in Belgium and we were booked into the Leper Novotel. A few weeks before arriving in Europe we were advised that the Novotel in Leper had overbooked and a number of the party had their accomodation transferred to the Park Hotel at Kortrijk. Offers of free transportation to and from Leper and Kortrijk, along with an evening meal were offered as compensation. The Park Hotel at Kortrijk had rave reviews and for all intention purposes was a superior hotel to the Novotel in Leper. What we didn't know until we arrived in Kortrijk, was that a number of us were given rooms in the hotel's busines centre, which was across the road and up the street a bit. It was a comfotable room but away from the luxury of the main hotel building. The staff were very pleasant and assisted in tracing my lost baggage ( did't arrive in Brussels for 2 days). As stated in another review, the breakfast was outstanding, it would hold it's own with the best.. It was a pity that Kortrijk was so far away from Leper, the focal point of our tour program. The additional travel had implications of extra travel time at the beginning and end of the day. We also had to make special arrangements to visit the Menin Gate 'Last Post' ceremony at 8pm. Also we lost the opportunity to spend more time in the historic Leper.

I stayed a few times in the Park Hotel in Kortrijk because of business trips to Belgium.
They have a really great breakfast - one of the best I have every experienced, even if the staff in the morning is sometimes not the fastest and gentlest.
The rooms I got (as singleroom) are a bit outdated but overall they are ok.
The wellness area is absolutely out-dated and not clean enough.
Overall for a short stay in Kortrijk the hotel is ok. I recommend to take rooms not facing the station place.
