We stayed 5 x 2 nights in the Royal Astrid for a course. The hotel has great conference facilities. Diner and breakfast are excellent. Wellness can better. Rooms are overrated. They're rather basic. Family rooms and rooms with kitchenettes let me think of a camp in stead of an hotel. Housekeeping is OK.
Free internet access in public area (pwd local administrator = [--]:-)). The manager let us park on the parking of the hotel Thermae Palace (across the street). He used to be the manager there and they're still working together when they've rooms short.
We were surprised ... november 10 pm ... a bunch of old English people were celebrating New Years Eve ... and we joined them.
Oostende seems to be a popular place to celebrate NYE from november untill march.
Overall : Hotel was OK but for the price we payed you can get something better. OK for groups and conferences. Dinner is quiet good.
