Location

Northern Limburg is an attractive area with tree lined avenues, vast pine and deciduous forests, fields and meadows. East of Venray, you will find areas that are characteristic of the Maasvalley. West and south of Venray, there is an area that has been reclaimed over time from the Peel; one of the most beautiful nature reserves of the Netherlands, with numerous scenic routes. People who love walking and biking will have a great time here.

Since May 2000, biking routes totaling 600 km have been charted in the Limburg area "Land van Peel en Maas". The majority of these routes are car free and take you along beautiful nature reserves. You can buy this map with biking tours at the reception of the hotel or at the VVV (tourist office) in Venray.

We were visiting friends who live near Venray and they booked this quaint 3 star hotel for us. It is not very large, though thoroughly clean. There are not a lot of amenities and the room is very stark, but very clean. Free breakfast, European style, is included, a restaurtant is attached to the hotel which we did not use, and a bar to serve alcoholic beverages in the evening which we also did not visit. The water pressure was excellent, beds comfortable and again clean clean clean. There are stairs to climb for those who would have that problem. I would recommend the place again if in the area. It is easily reached by the trains
