I got laid over in Faro and had to find a place to stay. I knew nothing about the hotel in advance. The rooms are new with nice wood floors, comfortable beds, and spacious bathrooms with new fixtures. However, our room on the first floor faced a karoake bar that blared loud music until all hours of the night. The windows were thin and we did not sleep. It affected one whole side of the hotel. Bring ear plugs if you stay here.

I stayed at Hotel Faro last week and i had a pleasant stay. The hotel has been describe as an Ikea wannabe. The hotel does have cream carpets that do have dirty marks...silly really with the vast amounts of visitors. The staff were friendly and my room was ready before 10.00am. Taxis are cheap and if you want a relaxing break this is a simple getaway. When i asked for anything from the staff i always got help. My room didn't have a safe and someone brought it up to me. I missed lunch for room service so i was made a toasted sandwich. I needed directions i was given them and needed toothpaste and they got me some of that. The staff leave you to it and i like it like that but other reviewers have not liked this. Room service was made better but having a handsome friendly waiter bring me my dinner!..lol I had a balcony with the lovely sunshine made my short trip easier. I would stay again but feel faro the town was a bit lacking for me so want to go further into the algarve. A good trip and hotel.
