Midland Hotel - Bradford, United Kingdom 

I have stayed here a few times with work, the entrance is deceptively grande; sometimes you are welcomed with a glass of wine while siginig in. However, some of the bedrooms are very outdated, the last time i stayed i noticed many were being upgraded. I was put in an upgraded room, the only thing that seemed to be different was the door entry system, and new soft furnishings. Some rooms are huge, but i have not come across any I would class as small. Depending on what side of the building you are on, it will afffect the temperature of your room, no matter what you have the heating set on. I have stayed in some rooms that cannot get warm, and others that are too hot. The staff are always polite and friendly. Breakfasts are very nice though, custom made for each person, so it is cooked just how you like.

This hotel has seen better days, although the staff were pleasant and helpful. The public areas are quite grand but the bedrooms are in desparate need of an upgrade. Those at the front are rather noisy as there is a busy road below and they need redecorating and upgrading. My wardrobe was like sometihng from a functional travel lodge only more ancient - no door. Furniture was outdated and tatty. Breakfast was okay but had better although evening meals were fine. If I return would try to stay elsewhere.
