As per the previous review, I was very pleasantly suprised by our stay at the Anacapri. Room was a basic double, but had a small balcony and a great view of the beach and bay. Bathroom a little basic but more than adequate for the one night we were staying there. We had dinner in the restaurant, as we had been out all day and didnt arrive til ear 7Pm and didnt feel like looking for a restaurant. We had a couple of drinks in the small bar and sat in the bay window with fabulous views. The waitress came along and took our orders from the extensive menus and called us when our table was ready. The food was really excellent and not really expensive. Bottle of red was about ?11. The hotel is located near the beach, and quite a way from the centre of Falmouth, so not very central if you are after a town centre night out, but really excellent for the beach and views. The hotel is not flash or luxurious, and could possibly do with a little updating in some areas, but I have stayed in far worse hotels with more stars.

As this was only a 2* hotel I wasnt expecting very much but as it was only 1 night I thought it was worth a try. It was great. Deserves more than 2 *. Stunning seaview was indeed stunning as it overlooks the beach. Spotless. lovely warm rooms, comfortable beds. Good breakfast. Would love to go back in the summer.
