Stayed 1 night in June 08. Met all expectations. Good location, good room, efficient checkin. Nothing really special about the place but nothing to complain about either. Price was very reasonable compared to elsewhere in Scotland. No free internet or breakfast, which is always disappointing.

My wife and I stayed there for a long weekend for a nostalgic visit back to Glasgow after 40 years to visit museums and art galleries. We had one of the better rooms - corner, large, 7th floor, views to South and East. Room was good and comfortable. Breakfast was filling and not too busy when we turned up but we would have preferred to have paid B&B rates (not offered on web site) rather than room only and then add on the cost of breakfast. Other than that we didn't eat or drink in the hotel but then we seldom do when we're away, preferring to try a range of local restaurants. The hotel is convenient for walking round, buses, trains and underground (buy a day pass), but the approach walking from the North is slightly off-putting having to pass a couple of Clubs. The only other downside was that part of an Irish stag party was in the room next door on the Friday night and the intermittent singing disturbed our sleep. (By Saturday they were too tired to party.)
