We stayed here for one night on our way to London. We arrived late in the afternoon on a Sunday. When we arrived our room was not ready so we waited in the lounge which was comfortable and had working wifi, When we got to our room, the internet would not work. We then noticed that there were cobwebs (big ones) hanging in the corner, hair balls in the corner in the bathroom and what appeared to be left over remnants of some kind of party that had happened in there the night before. We asked fora another room and were given the one next door. We eventually got the internet to work.
Before we went out for dinner we went down to the bar for a drink. The fellow tending the bar did not know what he had behind the bar. When we asked for some Baileys he said he had non but it was right behind him. So then another fellow came out and we asked for Kahlua. We were again told there was none but then we pointed to the bottle right behind. This took so long that our ride for dinner arrived so we said forget it.
The property itself is nice and in a nice location. The reception staff were very nice. However, we thought the room condition and bar service were below what we would expect in a Holiday Inn property.

First, it wasn't me who stayed here but my parents as we had arranged a big family party for a special occasion. We had to find them a hotel which could offer a walk-in shower as opposed to a room with a bath.
As we live in Northampton we hought it would be easy but it was virtually impossble until we tried the Holiday Inn which, incidentally has been completely refitted as a huge cost since we last visited . They have two rooms specially adapted for disabled people and they come at no extra cost. Katie, the girl who sorted our booking was a trainee at the the time but was superb in her atitude and skills.
Other hotels were unable to help and the girl at the Hilton was downright rude and unhelpful.
My parents really enjoyed their stay. they made to feel welcome by the staff and some of the other guests as it's not especially big. They enjoyed the breakfasts.
We had dinner one night and the service was diabolical. We waited for ages to order and then even longer for our starters and main courses. Four of the starters were cold and two of them were in edible (we got a credit on the bill). When the main courses eventually came they were excellent.
