Marriott Paris Rive Gauche Htl - Paris, France 

Surviving Paris in July during the peak of tourist season is sometimes a problem. The Marriott Rive Gauche is a perfect place in July as it is located in a northern Paris neighborhood on the Metro 6 line and just 2 blocks from the RER “B” line that services the CDG airport. With places to eat and buy snack & food supplies close by, you can forget the $40 hotel breakfast and snack shop and eat with the locals. The hotel does cater to some airlines employees as well as a few high end tour buses but neither were ever a problem. There were several evenings when we returned that it was a relief to be away from the crowds in the normal tourist hangouts. And the rooms are as advertised. Good size (for Europe) and the AC really works. Some European hotels that have AC don’t have enough capacity to cool the room in mid day and seems to shut down at night. Not at the Marriott, it works all day & night.. We booked a tour with the hotel and that was all handled with professional dispatch.
