Riad Dar Najat - Marrakech, Morocco     

I am so glad I am not alone in thinking how awful this place was. I read the original reviews on tripadvisor and they all sounded good. I can't believe they were talking about the same place I saw and chose not to stay at. The place was not at all what I expected. It was dirty!!!! I was visiting Morocco with my boyfriend and we both decided - after seeing the cramped and musty smelling rooms that we could not spend a night here.

We made an online reservation. When we arrived we were told the room that we reserved was not available plus that they had no record of who we were. The place seemed to be under renovation. Dirt and debris was everywhere. We were ushered up to a patio while the staff argued what to do with us. The owner Oliver was nowhere to be found and the staff had no idea how to reach him. When we told them we needed to leave they offered us a small filthy room. We asked for our deposit back and the apologetic woman who appeared to be in charge took our credit card to the back and assured us our deposit was credited to our acount. When we returned home our credit card was charged for the deposit as well as the entire stay. We never stayed there!!!!! Please beware - this was the only bad experince we had in Morocco. This incident left a bad taste for an otherwise incredible vacation!!!!! We have always used tripadvisor for all our trips and it has been dependable. This is the ON LY time we have been misled.
