Las Cuevas - Trinidad, Cuba 

We stayed one night and had a pretty average experience. The room was large and clean but its all a bit dated and slapdash...but this is what Cuban tourist class hotels are like so set your expectations appropriately and you won't be disappointed. Great location on the hillside overlooking the town and fab sunsets. Food buffet style with a large selection. Some did not look too appetising but you could find something. you liked without too much trouble. do not stop here if you have trouble walking as everything is up or down hill. Nice walk into town but don't drink too many mohitos as its uphill all the way back!! Trinidad itself is not to be missed and we wished we had stopped two nights here. Ensure you spend an evening at the bars in town particularly the Casa de la Musica where the locals will give you an all night display of salsa so much better than any hotel show. It is likely you could find better accommodation and you should consider casa particular here as there are many too choose from.
