This hotel surpassed our expectations. The price was great and most importantly the rooms were clean. The rooms are a bit small but that did not bother us much since we were only at the hotel to sleep. Breakfast provided consisted of yummy croissants and baguettes. The hotel is located very close to the metro station so it was very easy to get to and from the main attractions. Mention must be made of the two gentlemen who worked behind the desk at night. They were so friendly and helpful and were always willing to make your stay in Paris more enjoyable. If you are looking for a cheap, clean room with friendly staff and good transport access, this is the place to stay.

I'd recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in Paris on a two-star budget. I was looking for a room that was clean and quiet (and cheap) and that's what I got. Staff were friendly too. The room was typical two-star basic (no bath, no coffee making, very small TV, no view to speak of) but was all I needed. The bathroom was spotless - no bath, just a shower.... though it did have a hair-drier.
Location good - 100m from Lourmel and Boucicaut Metros - 25 min walk to Eiffel Tower - reasonably quiet residential area - a street market and supermarkets nearby... Parc Andre Citroen (5 min walk) is a querky public space too - worth a visit in the summer.
I've now stayed in three two-star hotels in Paris - Des Arts (Montmartre) and Residence Chatillon (14th arrondissement) being the other two - and I'd say that Mon Reve was the best value of the three.
I didn't go for the breakfast (7?) - but I'm sure it is fine.
