Excelsior - Paris, France     

Just returned from 2 night stay at this hotel. I arrived at 12 noon and had to wait 2 hours before I could check-in The hotel is in a decent location and has an excellent link to CDG airport via the roissybus. I stayed in a standard single and it was very clean which is very important, however my room (210) was tiny I would guess about 2:5m X 3:5m, the only window backs onto a narrow alley so the room is really dark and with the dated decor makes the room feel dindgey. The shower is the smallest I have ever used. There is no facilities to make a drink in the room. I found the free internet very difficult to get conected to(or was for me) the hotel has a computer you can use to get online at a charge of 5 euros for 30 minutes. The lift was tiny just about fit myself and my small hand luggage in. The reception staff were always smart, polite and helpful. Overall if your on a tight budget (83 euro per night)and purely need a place to stay in a reasonable location this place ok, however the previous comments on here must be to a much more high standard of room because my room was unrecognisable to those comments,a superior room is about 140 euros pn. I wouldn't stay here again.
