Comfort Hotel Median - Paris 17eme - Paris, France     

Stayed here two nights (Jul 2-3) with a EF Tours group. The hotel is located in the 19th just just outside the Peripherique. Food was OK. Location is inconvenient -- nearest Metro stop is Porte Clichy, a 10-15 minute walk through a dodgy, but probably not unsafe neighborhood, at least if you're in a group. The rooms sucked -- our furniture literally looked like something I'd put in my grandkids' room. Beds were uncomfortable and the rooms were tiny, even by Parisian standards. The bathroom, however, was adequate. The staff was helpful, though, cheerfully providing maps, directions and answering general questions. However, you don't visit Paris to stay in your hotel room. If you need a reasonably priced place to crash, don't mind a some exercise getting to the Metro, and can tolerate cramped quarters, this may not be all that bad. There are certainly more charming hotels in this price range in better parts of Paris, though.

the hotel looks good in reception but when you get to the rooms thats a different matter . our room was dirty with ripped wallpaper scuff marks up the walls and the carpet and bedding stained and cigarette burned.myself having a food allergy i could not get a straight answer from the staff about the ingredients of the meals and in fact was told "i dont know "to.every question. i found all the staff to have an i could not care less attitude .on the last morning of our stay we were booked to have breakfast at 6.15 am but could not get into the restaurant until 6.25.am leaving us only 15 mins before our taxi arrived,because the breakfast buffet was not ready.
