La Tour Rose - Lyon, France 

Pas de soieries lyonnaises dans notre chambre mais un décor moderne et froid avec meubles laqués noirs et autres objets en carbone. Pas de rideaux et un store à lattes qui ne fonctionnait pas, ce qui nous a permis de profiter toute la nuit des lumières de la ville. La clim elle fonctionnait bien, dans un bruit d'enfer, mais n'empêchait malheureusement pas une forte odeur de renfermé et d'humidité de marquer la pièce. C'est sans doute cette humidité qui a attiré les moustiques qui nous ont tenu compagnie toute la nuit. Le tout pour €338.30, sans petits déjeuners.

As the previous poster said there definitely are some problems. The hotel is in a fantastic location and the restoration is imaginatively done. The silk draperies in the rooms are great and the bar is very hip. However in its present condition it s price should be well below 200 euros per room not over 300. We had a (dark) standard room where the walls of the loo were caving in, there was no cold water in the tub, the bedside tables were scruffy, the handle came off the door.....a notice in the room informed us there would be no internet access until May! At check out it took us half an hour to get the car out of the garage (25 euros per car per night) because the poor concierge hadn't been told where it was......The staff were very nice and helpful but at these prices I expect a bit more.
