Everyone was very helpful. I needed a doctor and they set it up ...no problem...also a great doctor.. We needed someone to translate for us...no problem...We wanted to golf at the last minute...no problem...We didn't have a car so when we asked how to get here or there...they always took the time to be sure we had the best way to walk there....The view from our room was great...Room service was great as were the soups we had almost every evening...many of which we had never had before. One time we had just returned from Greece and I had a drink I liked so they checked the internet and found out how to make it for me...The walk to town is a hike but it is so beautiful...The town itself was also so kind and helpful...We didn't speak French and yet everyone was so helpful...We are looking forward to our next trip in 2008 to see all the friends we made here.

My wife and I were stopping over for a night, and as it was the end of our holiday, we decided to spoil ourselves by spending it in this wonderful looking property. We booked a suite for one night (weekend) for over 200 Euros - thinking we would get luxury. When I first arrived at this hotel, I was stunned. The environment is really impressive, and the building itself looks just superb. The staff are also really attentive. The message that we needed a cot for our youngest hadn't been passed on, but I double-checked that it had when checking in, and by the time we arrived at the room, it was being set up for us. Reception, bell-boys, even bar tenders, all really, really good and interested. The minute we left the reception for our room though, our impression started to change. Corridors, floors, ceilings, doors along the way, all in terrible condition and really dated. The room itself was a major let-down. They seem to have refurbished 20% of it, with the rest looking dirty, ancient, with really cheap furniture. Closets were just terrible. Renovated bathroom was acceptable. Having arrived at 10:05 pm, we couldn't get any room-service, and the only restaurant offering meals after 10:00 pm was only offering two types of sandwiches, for terrible value as well. Overall, in serious need of renovation, terrible value for money, badly run, but in a superb location with good staff.
